(March 3rd, Taipei) In compliance with the Covid-19 prevention measures, PSA Charitable Foundation has decided to postpone the PSA Hearing Month activities from March to September. In order to provide the stay-at-home hearing protection consulting service at World Hearing Day on March 3rd and to continue advocate for noise reduction and hearing protection, the Foundation set up the PSA Guardian Angel of the Ear Dodor line@ to publish hearing healthcare tips regularly. At the meantime, PSA Facebook Fan Page has a survey of headphone usage habit and the Foundation encourages everyone to fill out the online questionnaire to win the prize. The Foundation urges people to stay at home to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and protect the hearing at the same time. In addition to the online activities, the Foundation announced the additional quota of 2019 Hearing Impairment Scholarship and the total of NT$210,000 were awarded for the outstanding students. After years of promotion, PSA Charitable Foundation has made the March 3rd World Hearing Day a renowned event in Taiwan and people are paying more and more attention to hearing health. This year, PSA Hearing Month has planned a series of activities for the general public, including the release of the new theme song and the endorser of the year, Hearing Carnival, and Hearing Impairment Scholarship award ceremony. However, in compliance with the government’s Covid-19 prevention measures, the Foundation has decided to postpone the Hearing Month activities from March to September.

 

 

Wash hands frequently to prevent the disease; Protect ears to avoid hearing loss. PSA Guardian Angel of the Ear Dodor line@ is officially up and running and will post hearing protection tips regularly through push notification. Everybody is welcome to follow Dodor and remember to stay at home during the Covid-19 prevention period. Also, there are audiologists online to provide personalized professional consultation. At the meantime, PSA Facebook Fan Page holds an online survey of headphone usage habit. The Foundation encourages everyone to fill out the questionnaire. PSA Charitable Foundation announced the recipients of the 2019 Hearing Impairment Scholarship today. The high school and college groups are planned to have five awards each, yet in the spirit of encouragement, 7 awards were given to the high school group and 8 for the college group. Each recipient has been awarded NT$10,000. Two awards were given to the graduate student group and each of them had received NT$30,000. The total award comes to NT$210,000. In addition to the preliminary requirement of academic performance, volunteer service experience is listed as a mandatory requirement to encourage the hearing–impaired students to realize their self-value of diverse development and to help others in need. Future applicants are welcome to prepare in advance.
